Empty Bowls Fundraiser

April 1, 2006, Saturday @ The 1912 Center

Lizette Fife, members of the Palouse Studio Potter's Guild, Inc, and community members donate bowls and serve soup donated by the Moscow Food CO-OP to music by local bands.  Funds are donated to local and global organizations to end hunger.

Young People's Art Festival

April 29, 2006, Saturday @ The Moscow Junior High School 9:30-2:30

Class on Huichol Indian bead art by Lizette Fife focusing on the Mexican Indian technique of  using beads, pitch, and beeswax to cover wooden forms.  We will use beads and glue to make designs inside of flowerpot bases.

Art Day at Lena Whitmore Elementary School

Students in Mrs. Pannkuk's 6th Grade Class painted bowls for an Empty Bowls fundraiser led by Lizette Fife to benefit the Moscow Food Bank.  The Latah County Arts & Culture Committee gave a grant to Lizette Fife to cover her time and materials.

This is a close up of the bowls that the students painted.

Mrs. Druffel's 4th Grade class did Huichol bead art with Lizette Fife.

These are the finished Huichol Indian inspired pieces above.

Dayton, Washington Tile Painting Party with artist Lizette Fife for the Touchet Valley Unity Wall murals.  (Click on images to see more photos of the project).

Tile painting was held at the Flour Mill Park in Dayton, WA.  Some of the finished tiles are below.

Prescott, Washington Tile Painting Party for Touchet Valley Unity Wall.

Rendevous for Kids Art Stop

Make Magnificent Magnets by painting bisque shapes at Rendevous for Kids in East City Park in Moscow, Idaho.

Rendevous for Kids offered two days of art, entertainment and lunch!

Touchet Valley Unity Wall - Waitsburg, WA

Waitsburg, Washington Tile Painting Party for Touchet Valley Unity Wall on the front lawn of the historic Bruce Mansion.

We had a lovely windy day that kept the temperature perfect under the shade of the trees.  Some of the tiles are below, click on images for more pictures of the project.

            

 

August 7

"Just Like Home" Daycare

Lizette Fife and Adrienne Fife (her daughter and art assistant) were invited to "Just Like Home" Daycare for part of their summer art program.  Lizette and Adrienne taught children how to paint ceramic shapes and made them into magnets. 

Everyone had lots of fun with crocodiles and butterflies being favorites thanks to Patches, the owners, and staff at "Just Like Home" Daycare.

 

Fall 2005 - Present

Pritchard Art Gallery, Moscow, Idaho

Lizette Fife's ceramic work can be seen and purchased at the Pritchard Art Gallery in downtown Moscow, Idaho.  Examples of her sunflower and poppy bowls are above.
